What's the Narrative

One of Vermont’s big industries is the nonprofit sector.  Do you propose cleaning up Vermont’s non-profit registry to better reflect active organizations in the state?

The value that non-profits can and do have on a society is huge.

Their main purpose is often to BE beneficial to society in a way that the government isn’t being at present.

I have not seen the nonprofit registry but if I am elected I do intend to create more simplicity in our online presence so that may well be on the “To Do” list.

Further commentary: I think the first point that I was trying to make was that nonprofits serve a function that governments are not (and maybe should in an ideal world would) so in a very real ways they benefit the government.  They should be appreciated.
